Depending on how you use Kaern, we may process:
- Account (Google sign-in) and profile details you provide (timezone, country, date of birth)
- Training preferences, goals, and activity data you sync or import (e.g. Polar, Strava, FIT files)
- Contact data if you write to us (email, message)
- Usual technical data (logs, cookies needed for the site)
3. Purposes
We use this data to:
- Personalize coaching and build / adapt your plan
- Respond to your requests
- Improve the product
- Meet legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Legal bases
Depending on the case: contract performance, legitimate interest (service improvement, security), or consent (non-essential cookies, marketing communications if applicable).
5. Retention
We keep data as long as needed for the purposes above, legal obligations, or dispute resolution. You can request deletion of your account and related data — see Account deletion.
6. Sharing
We only share data with technical providers needed to run the service (hosting, authentication), under contract, or when required by law. Provider connections (Polar, Strava…) can be disconnected in the app; Kaern then revokes access where supported.

Reasonable measures including TLS in transit, access control, and secure storage.
